About this place
Argentina’s traditional choripan pairs chorizo with bread. At Mi Choripan., the choice between a simple version with sausage and chimichurri sauce, for example, and one with vegetables and Argentine salsa makes for two quite different sandwiches. The simple choripan comes with chimichurri sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise and mustard; the salsa choripan adds lettuce and Argentine salsa. For an even fuller sandwich, the Special Choripan layers on lettuce, tomato, sautéed onion and spring-onion mayonnaise.
Some visitors have praised the contrast between the bread’s lightly crisp exterior and the meaty chorizo. Others have found that the generous vegetables and spiced sausage make for a filling bite, or highlighted the salsa’s tang, heat and herbal notes. The salsa or Special Choripan is a good choice if you want flavours layered together, while the simple version lets the chorizo take centre stage. Optional toppings include cheese, coriander, garlic chips, hot sauce and an extra half chorizo.
For a side, try empanadas, described as South American snacks: fried pastry filled with cheese. Diners have noted their crisp exterior and cheesy filling, making them an alternative to serving another choripan. Drinks include mate tea, listed at a discounted price when ordered with a regular-size choripan, as well as red and white wines from Argentina and wine spritzers, available with either red or white wine. There are options for a meal centred on choripan, or for pairing a lighter snack with a drink.
